Planetary Exporation Program

Updates

PEP is currently in wide-spread beta release. Periodically, updates to the release will be put on this web page. Typically, the update will simply be a new version of the file named GeoVirgil.jar. To download this file, click-right or control-click on the link and save it to your local hard drive. To install the update, replace the old version of GeoVirgil.jar with the new one. On a PC, your old GeoVirgil.jar file can be found in the PEP/PEP.PC directory. On a Mac, the GeoVirgil.jar file is in the PEP.app/Contents/Resources/Java directory.

Generally, you need only install the most recent update and can skip any other updates you didn't download.

If you have any problems downloading or installing the update, just send me an email.

Version: 1.0.1 Beta. Release Date: 13 Dec 2005. Download Link.

This version fixed a bug so that the Tools->Show Documentation actually works. It now pops up a browser displaying the PEP documentation. This is roughly the same documentation available at www.SiliconSpaceships.com.
Added the menu item Tools->About PEP. This now displays the version number of the software as well some copyright messages. If this menu item isn't on your version, you're running 1.0 Beta.
